The Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at the University of Georgia has a long history of excellence in research and graduate and undergraduate education. Our faculty and students have made major discoveries that impact on the development of new energy sources, the treatment of human and animal disease, and understanding the underlying chemical basis of life. Our research is supported by the State of Georgia and grants from federal and private agencies, but we also look for gifts from our alumni. Our labs are the training sites for undergraduate and graduate students who will be future leaders in science, medicine and technology. Your contributions allow the funding of undergraduate and graduate research fellowships and achievement awards, and enhance our research capacity and our positive impact on future generations.I hope you will consider making a contribution to the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and join me, as the Head, to play a part in the enlightenment!Adam W. Barb, Ph.D.Professor and Head
